Highly Anticipated Local Basketball Season

I can’t remember a more anticipated basketball season for local fans. Starting at the local high school level, WPIAL realignment has given us more local games. I don’t know yet if any local teams will have what it takes to make to a title run, but the added rivalry games should make for larger crowds and extra excitement. In Division II the PSAC has some talented teams. Pitt’s Men’s Basketball Team is ranked in the top five, and many people think they’ll reach the Final Four. However they’ll have to go through what most people are calling the greatest conference in history of college athletics. It could be an all Big East Final Four as 10 teams are expected to get into the tournament. The NCAA moved back the three point line, which should also add to the intrigue this year. So fans get ready for a lot to talk about this winter.
