Western PA - Full of Great College Football Stories

With the success of Penn State and Pitt, you might be missing some great local college football stories. Probably the best story is Seton Hill University, out of Greensburg, they’re ranked 22nd in the country in NCAA Division II football with a 9-1 record. They only started their football program in 2005, compiling a 6-25 record before this season. New coach Joel Dolinski, is yet again another example of how important a good coach is. Elsewhere in Division 2, IUP is ranked 17th, Edinboro 21st, and Cal U an impressive 8th. In Division 3, W&J is ranked in the top 20. Now these teams are battling for conference titles and NCAA playoff spots. With Western PA students making up half their rosters, you might enjoy late season chases.

This story is also my column in the Kittanning Paper, which can be picked up for free at various locations in central Armstrong County.
