What are the timelines for I-539 Change of Status for H1 to H4?
Is premium processing option available for the this change of status?
Friend worked till last week of pregnancy (clean H1 history before). Her 12 weeks of maternity leave is ending soon and looks like the family needs to pay attention to child's condition and she has no choice but to become a full-time mom (another full-time job in itself though). She was in status during her maternity leave (some part of which was covered by STD insurance, remaining unpaid leave totaling 12 weeks under FMLA). She needs to change her status from H1 to H4.

I just received EADs for me and my spouse and the validity is only 1 year! Aren't we (people whose PDs are retrogressed) supposed to receive EADs with 2 years validity?

It depends on how many cases that will be pending approval on October after the surge of applications this July and August.
I think it wouldn't be current for some countries specifically India and China.

Right now Atlanta Processing Center processing May 2008 priority date for clean cases....for audited cases July 2007...
It's not true that all the cases will got to Atlanta Processing Center ...if any case that has been auidted will be moved to Atlanta Processing Center.

Can we go after State dept to have them make an administrative fix to publish 2 sets of Visa dates, one for Visa posts and one for USCIS. CIS Dates to reflect their processing length and allow for an early AOS application..

Hello
My wife and I will be Canadian Permanent Residents in a few months. I am on EAD with I485 pending and have AP. She is on H1B
We will need to Travel to Canada for Immigrant Landing formalities after we get PR.
How can we enter back in US so that my AOS and her H1B Status is not affected?

Hi,
You do not even need to file AC21.. I changed my employer on EAD from H1B and no issue and got GC also.

It looks like you are getting glare from glass or something. Get as close to the glass as you can and the lens as perpendicular as possible. A dark cloth and duct tape to put it up with would get you two things: (1) ability to block glare from lights behind you and (2) hide you from the birds so they settle down.
I've actually put the camera on a tripod and draped a large towel over it and my head/torso for camoflage, which let me stand outdoors and get closer without scaring them away. But I don't do that much because it's really tiring standing there, motionless :)
For the most part, a flash doesn't seem to bother birds much and it's a great help - you get better contrast and a faster shutter.

i got my i140 approved ,i-485 applied >180 days with my old employer.i have my h1b till 2010.Now i got an offer from a new company who is willing to do my h1b transfer and they said no need for doing labour,i140 again.
i am confused. is that safe if i do h1b transfer and keeping old employer's i140.(they won't revoke).Are its better to use ead to avoid confusion in GC process.pls show me the light.

Hi All,
I had a question regarding the relationship between the number h1b transfers and green card process. I've heard some people say that if you have transferred H1b to many companies then the green card process will be delayed because USCIS needs to be convinced that you will be continuing with the same employer. Is this true or does it really not matter how many times you change employers it doesn't effect the green card process.
I have already transferred once. I am thinking of transferring one or possible two more times but am just worried about how this will effect the green card application process.

GC has nothing to do with H1b only issue is they will verify whether you were in status all the time.

You have 2 options. Either use your old H1 which is still valid (assuming u still have a valid visa stamp) and enter US (carry a latest offer letter from employer). If you use the old H1, then you will only have 2 more years of H1 time left.
You can file for a fresh H1 visa in Master's quota under consular processing and when its approved, attend the Visa interview, get a new H1 stamp, and re-enter using the fresh stamp. This way, you will get fresh 6 yrs time on H1.

I've had my D100 for about 3 years. I noticed that the frame buffer was getting lower and lower - and I thought it was just that my memory card was getting old... but I just bought a new one and that was not the problem.
I used to get 6 or 7 images in the buffer, and now it's just 2.
Is there a fix for this or does it need to be repaired?
