If EB2, then you are in a better position alteast compared to many folks here.. The PD for Mar '06 per DOS, Visa Bulletin, for EB2 is 01JAN02, Since your case has a PD of Jan 02, (Date not provided by you),

what about the july 07 fiasco filers..i know GC will only be given when visa numbers are available but atleast if 485 is approved we know we are half way thru...no matter the files will be licking the dust for years..gurus please share.

My 485 got approved 2 months back. There was an RFE for my wife and by the time I answered it, the visa numbers were over. Now I am planning to change my job. I know its good to wait for at least 6 months before you switch over, but I don't have that option. Can there be any issues with my wife's application?

My employer let me signed 3 contracts. First was for the year 2006 then two for 2007. They said they just changed a few things but it is the same. The previous two contracts said if ever employment is terminated prior to an agreed date, reimbursement to the employer will be pro-rated. The 3rd contract was changed to reimbursing the employer the full amount of the contract which means H1B fees, recruitment fees, sign-on bonus and reimbursement. I was not aware that they've changed the reimbursement because I did not read the third contract anymore because they said it's the same.
Is it legal for the employer to charge the H1B employee the H1B fees, recruitment fee, sign-on bonus and reimbursements? I applied directly to my employer but they hired a recruiter and was just made aware of the huge amount after working for 3mos with them. They never gave me a copy of the total amount of my contract until I asked for it.

we applied ap in octoer and we got receipt on oct 24th but we found a typo error on my daughters receipt instead of 'ekthasruthi sakala' it was ektha sakala' will it be a problem at the port of entry . please suggest me.
The name on the AP should match with passport. Make sure your 131 form has a correct name, if yes then you can reapply for a AP without a filing fee otherwise you have to pay. BTW, check all your receipts whether it has a correct name

i am switching employers and i have about 10k in my 401k with current employer. my next employer does not have the option to start 401k until after one year of service.i am looking for options to rollover my 401k to a IRA in a company. does anyone have any recommendations?thanks in advance
I still have my 401K from my old job that I quit about 3 yrs back into the same (company's) account. The reason I didn't roll them into IRA is that I prob would have made the same selection of mutual funds that I currently have in my 401K. The company is stable so no worries there. Point is, move your money only if you think it will serve you a better purpose or else wait for your new 401K to kick in and after that just roll over the other account directly into the new one...
Just my 2 cents, of course...

Well, the first thing that I noticed was not the ceiling, but rather the cute little Shetland Sheepdog in the middle of the walkway. Of course, I love dogs (and especially Shelties)... ;)
I think if I stare at the image long enough, I can sometimes see the effect you're talking about, though it's not like that effect jumps out at me. IMHO, this picture is still a good study of geometric forms, whether or not it has issues with optical illusions. :)
Yes, the dog was cute, and kept staring back at me until I took the picture. Unfortunately my mind was set on getting a shot with only a person in the exit at the end of the walkway. As the dog kept looking at me I realized too late that I was blowing a chance at another picture than the one I set out to get. When I finally got is the dog was too far away. :mad:

Hi All,
I have efiled for my AP and EAD. I have received the RN for the same. I am planning to travel out of country by end of November. I am pretty sure AP will not be approved by that time. I am planning to travel on H1B visa. My attorney tells me that AP will not be approved if I travel before it is approved. I have to be in the country in order to get the AP approval. Is that true?

I thought it was E-verify and our bill with some sunset bills. Now he excluded those things and added last item which Republicans never supports. So he is making this as suicide bill . This is all about politics. See how they turned back in last minutes. Now they created a image of Immi friendly but eventually they didn't fight for us. Bob was Anti in beginning and he introduce recapture so get our support now after becoming popular among us and our friends , relatives he is officially not stopping bill but killing it.

My family was applied I-485 by my mom's working at the company, and all my family had EAD which is working permit and received SSN with that EAD.
However, 2008 January our I-485 have got denied because of sponsor got closed.
That was the before our EAD card gets expired. So I couldn't renew the EAD card.
So My question is, is there any way to renew that EAD now?
if I still want to work, what does I have to do?
The EAD is a benefit of being in AOS --- i.e., due to pending I-485 approval. When your I-485 (I-485 applications are individual applications) was denied, your EAD stopped being valid. If you did not stop working, then you were working illegally (assuming that you had no other work VISA). So you have been out of status for more than 2 years, and possibly accrued unlawful presence for a similar period as well. If your unlawful presence accumulated to 180 days, that will trigger a 3 year ban from entering US, and a 10 year ban if the unlawful presence is 1 year or more.

Sure. You need to work outside the US for the sponsoring company in a managerial capacity for 1 out of the 3 years prior to filing the I140. So if you are on a H1B and are a manager, you can sign up for an assignment abroad to fulfill that requirement.
