I have a total case of the Mondays....this past weekend was great but WAY too quick as usual!!
Hubby and I had our friends, sons 3rd birthday party on Saturday, and yesterday was all about relaxing, cleaning, and some errands. Now it's Monday and back to the grind at work!
Friday night my pregnant best friend and I hit Macy's. She was in need of a dress for a wedding this weekend, so we ventured to the Motherhood maternity section to see what they had. She found a really cute dress and I just picked up some random things on sale. A couple of tank tops, a pair of shorts to wear to bed, and a pair of really cute pink sweatpants.
Now this picture makes them look ridiculous and like old lady pants, but let me tell you, they are really cute! They instantly reminded me of something I would pick up at the Pink store from Victoria Secret, without the Pink written across the butt! And they were $10 on sale, and who can beat that for clothes that make you feel like a fat moose anyway!
I also snagged this shirt....which I really like...for FREE! The girl at the register was so caught up with my pink sweats, (im telling you, they are cute in person!) that she rang them up twice and never rang up this sweater! When we got to the car and I looked at the receipt I figured out what happened. I was surprised at how cheap every thing was, but since its Macy's I thought it was all just sale prices. Nope! The girl forgot to ring it up, therefore the sweater with was me in my car for free. Made me like the sweater even more!
This morning I was shopping alone(again) to hunt down this baby bag I have been wanting. I have been super picky about a diaper bag since I am just a bag person in general. I instantly wanted a Coach one, but do I really need a Coach baby bag? No, I don't and since I have been trying to be a little but more budget conscious with the baby on the way I decided to go another route that I am typically a fan of, Vera Bradley.
Once I decided I wanted a Vera bag, I had to find the right print. I ended up loving the Baroque print and of course it was sold out everywhere. So the mission began, and my wonderful ebay came through. I was able to snag the bag, brand new with tags for $82.99 free shipping, it was less than retail! And since I was able to save some money and I was saving a bundle by not getting a Coach bag I decieded to pick up the Large Duffle bag that matched it also on ebay for $64.99 significantly less than retail! It will make for the perfect bag to bring to the hospital, and great for when we take day trips with out little guy! Both bags should be here by the end of the week!
That was the highlight of this past weekend. Nothing too eventful, but enough to make another weekend just fly on by! And some good shopping was fit in too which is always nice!
Hope everyone is having a good Monday!
