I adore the state of Vermont. I would love to live in Vermont. It's peaceful, and beautiful, people are friendly, and there is barely ever any traffic! You can get a nice house, with a TON of land up there, and you can live a slower paced more relaxed life than you do here in Boston. There are many reasons why I would move up there, but for now I remain a Bostonian and travel up there often to visit some great friends of our.
We went up there last weekend to catch up with friends, see their babies getting so much bigger every day and just to escape the routine-ness that life has become at home. And boy did it feel good to get away!
Friday night we went down to Church Street for some shopping and dinner, and then meet up with our friends for drinks at a cute Irish Pub. Our night with friends was cut short since their babysitter has called and one of their kids was sick, but instead of just heading back to the hotel we decided to walk down to Lake Champlain and catch the end of a gorgeous sunset!
And god help me for the picture I am about to post. I have been successfully avoiding cameras since I have been pregnant, and for good reason! Look at this enormous, puffy mess. Ugh...so gross, but I was there so I might as well document it! Never thought I would be so excited to diet and exercise in my entire life!
Any Vermont readers out there? Or any other Vermont-lovers?!
I am already, ready for another weekend getaway!!
