As I understand a new bill has to be introduced in Senate and in House of Representatives. Both these bills will have to be passed and then reconciled for differences.
Is it true that all CIR legislation that was introduced in Senate last year is now dead and that a new bill will have to be introduced in Senate as well?

I think it is better. Your EAD and AP will be processed faster because they are in CSC and your I-485 is in TSC, which is better than NSC.

My mother came for a 6 months visit on December 10th of 2010. But she left in April of 2011 (April 9th 2011), two months short of her 6 month's stay. Can she come again in August 2011 for a six month's stay, and stay till Feb 2012? Or will she have to return in 2 months? (return by October 2011)
My mother has 10 year multiple entry visa.
I heard that a visitor can stay only 6 months in a year, is it true?
If yes, is the calendar year counted from January to december?

Hi,
I had my last name misspelled and middle name missing on my filed perm labor application and it was filed on 12/12/2007. It was selected for audit in Feb 2008 and have not received any update until now. Can this error in my name be corrected on my application. Please advice.

we applied ap in octoer and we got receipt on oct 24th but we found a typo error on my daughters receipt instead of 'ekthasruthi sakala' it was ektha sakala' will it be a problem at the port of entry . please suggest me.
The name on the AP should match with passport. Make sure your 131 form has a correct name, if yes then you can reapply for a AP without a filing fee otherwise you have to pay. BTW, check all your receipts whether it has a correct name

Company B - India - Paid in Rupees.

that's how infy, wipro, tcs work...they get ppl here on H1 and get paid in dollars....once they go back to india, they get paid in rupees....u need h1 if ur in the US.

I received the folowing letter from NVC. The case is for my dad. He originally filed under F4, priority date 13Jul2000.
What does it mean and what we should do?

The applicant's name has been placed on the list of documentarily
qualified cases awaiting the availability of visa numbers under the

notified of an appointment date as soon as the numbers have been
received. The applicant should NOT make any travel arrangements, sell
